Ms. Post - Sixth Grade

Hello My Name Is...

Danielle Post

Hi! I'm Danielle Post, the 6th grade teacher for Central Elementary.
A little about me, I taught 6th grade in Alpaugh last year, and moved to Central so that I could work closer to home and to my children! My husband and I have 2 kids: a 4th grader at Akers and a 3 year old son. I earned my B.A. in Multiple Subjects Teaching with a minor in Psychology from Brandman University, and then I went on to earn my credential as part of their Master's of Arts in teaching program. Before my year at Alpaugh, I was a Specialty Instructional Aide at Akers Elementary where I taught reading strategies as part of the ExCel team. I am so excited to be back home in this wonderful district!

This year will be full of wonderful learning opportunities with a student-centered approach. This means that my students will be setting personal goals in line with their grade-level standards. By doing this, the students will become more invested in their education and driven to meet their goals. In order to have a successful year, the students will be held to strict conduct expectations. I have 3 classroom rules: 1. Be a respectful student (students will define this on the first day), 2. Come to class prepared, 3. Dream big, work hard! Students will be encouraged to conduct themselves appropriately through positive reinforcement. Together, we will have an excellent year full of learning and growth!

As always, feel free to contact me with questions through email or phone!
